Our volunteer leaders host group runs on a weekly basis. The current regular runs are listed below, click here to view more events on the calendar page. Group runs are open to anyone (you must sign the waiver and follow the Code of Conduct). We suggest either a $5 donation or click here to join Donner Party Mountain Runners for as little as $35 / calendar year.
Legacy Trail Spring Speed Work
Where:: Meet at the parking area at the end of East River St., where the bridge crosses the river to the trail. (Note: Some of the later sessions might meet at the Regional Park.)
When:: Tuesdays, 6pm
What:: Speed workouts on the paved Legacy Trail
Group Leader:: Gretchen Brugman
Description:: A variety of speed workouts, such as traditional tempos, progressive tempos, fartleks, and hill repeats. These sessions are for all abilities, so don’t be intimidated! Most workouts will target about 8 miles, but the out-and-back nature of the runs will allow for a variety of options for those who don’t feel ready (or don’t have the time) for the longer distance. What:: Speed workouts alternating between track workouts and trails in Donner Memorial.

Sunday Socials coming May 7, 2017
Where:: Donner Memorial State Park
When:: Every Sunday Evening, 3:30pm runs followed by BYO picnic
What:: About 5 miles (all paces welcome) on a different route each week
Group Leaders:: Helen Pelster and additional volunteers
Description:: An all-paces run introducing a different trail each week. Great for trail newbies as well as experienced runners looking for new Truckee-Tahoe trail locations and running friends. Generally targeting 4-6 miles.
Summer Weekend Adventures
Our extraordinary volunteer Board Members will be hosting weekend trail adventures, showcasing the best that Truckee/Tahoe has to offer, including course previews of our own Castle Peak 100k.
